Chinawissen vernetzt: zur Analyse und Schaffung komplexer disziplinärer Räume (Trilaterale Forschungskonferenzen, Villa Vigoni, 2021-2023)

Unser Vorhaben „Chinawissen vernetzt: zur Analyse und Schaffung komplexer disziplinärer Räume“ ist wissenschafts- und disziplingeschichtlich: es betrifft Akteure des Wissenstransfers mit China seit Mitte des 19. Jhds. Sie werden in ihren  komplexen Identitäten und globalen Netzwerken verstanden, die zur Schaffung von Wissen in beiden Richtungen beigetragen haben und durch Übersetzungsprozesse die Universalität (und Lokalität) der Wissenschaften konstruiert haben. In einer ersten Konferenz untersuchen wir exemplarisch einige Hauptakteure des Wissenstransfers zwischen Europa und China, ihre multiplen Identitäten und Netzwerke und ihre Rolle in alten oder neu gegründeten Institutionen. Durch Text-Lektüren, Diskussionsrunden und Präsentationen sollen dadurch auch die Sinologien Frankreichs, Deutschlands und Italiens einander näher gebracht werden.

Notre projet « Savoirs sur la Chine en réseau : sur l’analyse et la création d’espaces disciplinaires complexes » relève de l’histoire des sciences et de l’histoire disciplinaire : il concerne les acteurs de la circulation des savoirs avec la Chine depuis le milieu du 19^e siècle. Ils seront compris dans leurs identités complexes et leurs réseaux mondiaux qui ont contribué réciproquement à la construction des savoirs et de l’universalité (et la localité) des sciences à travers des processus de traduction. Lors d’une première conférence trilatérale on s’intéressera à quelques acteurs et à leurs réseaux dans leurs identités multiples, on s’interrogera sur le rôle qu’ils ont joué dans les institutions anciennes ou nouvellement crées. A travers des ateliers de lecture, des tables rondes et des présentations on souhaite ainsi rapprocher davantage les sinologies en France, en Italie et en Allemagne.

Il progetto “Sinologia in rete: spazi interdisciplinari per gli studi cinesi” si muove nell’ambito della storia delle scienze in una prospettiva multidisciplinare e riguarda attori e mezzi del trasferimento di conoscenze da e per la Cina dalla metà del XIX sec. Nel corso del primo incontro trilaterale si analizzeranno attori e reti che hanno contribuito alla costruzione di saperi e dell’universalità (e localizzazione) delle scienze, interrogandosi sul loro contributo a una costruzione condivisa di scambi e interazioni in ambito sinologico in Cina e in Europa. Attraverso tavole rotonde, sessioni di traduzione e analisi di testi, discussioni plenarie e in sottogruppi, presentazioni di contributi si cercherà di rafforzare la collaborazione e l’interazione degli studiosi partecipanti da Francia, Italia e Germania per una riflessione condivisa che possa portare a una diffusione estesa dei risultati della ricerca.

Our project “Networks of knowledge about China: on the analysis and creation of complex disciplinary spaces” concerns the history of science and disciplines: it will deal with actors in the circulation of knowledge with China since the middle of the nineteenth century. They will be analyzed in terms of their complex identities and of the global networks which have contributed to the construction of knowledge and to the universality (and locality) of science through translation processes. During the first trilateral conference we will look at a few actors and their networks in their multiple identities, we will question the role they played in old or newly created institutions. Through reading workshops, round tables and presentations, the aim is to bring French, Italian and German sinologies closer together.
